    It is the old Stamford Bridge goalposts before the ground was refurbished. It was more open plan back then.
    Chelsea were at home that day.

  2. It’s definitely Stamford Bridge. I think Chelsea must have worn their away kit so that the teams didn’t clash on black and white TVs. There was an ITV technicians strike on at the time which meant there were no colour broadcasts.

  3. Bowyer made the first two, and scored the third. Bell was a great player, with a career curt short by injury in 1976?.
    I remember that afternoon.
    Chelsea were the holders.

  4. Where was this played? Doesn’t look like Stamford Bridge…. more like old Goodison Park. I see both sides are wearing their away strips. Was this a 2nd replay on a neutral ground?
