The Eastlands left back was to end up on the winning side come the final whistle after a end to end affair in west London. First Frank Lampard put Chelsea ahead after being put through by an excellent Joe Cole pass but Carlos Tevez soon leveled matters but only after Blues keeper Hilario fluffed the Argentines weak effort. Craig Bellamy put the Eastlands side ahead after Hilario again failed to stop a fairly tame effort. Juliano Belletti then pulled down Carlos Tevez and conceded a penalty and was also given a red card. Tevez tucked away the spot kick and within two minutes Chelsea were down to nine men as Michael Ballack collected his second yellow card for a petulant foul. Frank Lampard scored a consolation penalty in stoppage time. The win puts Manchester City in pole position for that coveted fourth spot and leaves the title race wide open and gives hope to Arsenal and Manchester United who will be hoping to close the gap on the Premier League leaders. – playmyfootball.com WATCH ALL GOALS: www.playmyfootball.com

Wayne Bridge has snubbed John Terry during the handshakes ahead of the Premier League clash between Chelsea and Manchester City. Chelsea captain Terry extended his hand to Bridge but the Manchester City defender refused to reciprocate, before shaking the hand of each of his former Chelsea teammates. The pair are meeting on the pitch for the first time since the revelations that England captain Terry had an affair with Vanessa Perroncel, Bridge’s former partner and the mother of his three-year-old son. Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti said before the game that he does not expect the atmosphere to affect his captain. He said: “John Terry is professional and doesn’t have a problem in staying focused on the match. “He has been doing good performances. He is in focus and has a good mentality. “He has had a fantastic season and will do the same until the end of the season.” City manager Roberto Mancini urged Bridge to concentrate on the game, just 48 hours after he withdrew from England’s World Cup plans. He said: “He is a strong character, who has a strong mentality.”
